Blog 2: Why did I choose architecture?
When I was a child I wanted to be a singer but then I realized that my voice is awful, after that I wanted to be an engineer but studying that requires a lot of science-related knowledge and I don`t understand those types of classes.
For now, I don`t have other career options but I really like art, design, or something in those areas; anyway, sometimes I think about studying psychology because I have OCD (Obsessive compulsive disorder), I know a lot about it and I would like to help people with their problems.
In high school, I usually thought about what I would like to be in the future. I remember thinking that my passion for art and my abilities in maths couldn’t be brought together in just one career until someone recommended me architecture, and that’s why I’m studying this career.
My point of view on architecture this far is that it is very hard and exhausting but the things we do in “Taller” are what I like to do, for example, drawing, designing, and creating models. On the other side, I’ve met new friends who I love and I don`t know what to do without them.
When I finish college I want to work in an independent way or maybe doing blueprints for a company. If I can´t do that I´m happy working in other places like in a company or in the government because I like what I do and I know being an architect is my vocation.
There are many things that I would like to comment... But I'll just say that is amazing to find a career that brings together those things that seems incompatible to us.

It's true! 'Taller' is so exhausting, but when we support each other in zoom it becomes more fun;)
